predictive edge works with you to develop, design, and deliver your college's message throughout the year. we'll help to coordinate your e-communications program with your print communications, phone calls, open houses, and athletic events. your customized e-mail messages will:

we will also organize the information collected from your e-mail campaigns in database form to help you make the most of your contacts with prospective students.

program design and development

  • predictive edge will develop your e-communications program for the year. this plan identifies what message is sent at which point in the cycle, based on student interests catalogued in the inquiry file. the plan is integrated with your print mailing schedule and your on-campus program schedule. when an inquiry is received, it triggers a sequence of mailings based on student interests. this is a flexible plan, which can be adjusted as needed throughout the year.
  • we will provide initial drafts for all messages in both text and html formats, based on your institutional materials. we then work with you to finalize the messages.
  • we will develop appropriate market segmentation -- major, geographic, student interests, etc., -- for all messages and optimize the personalization of each message for each student - i.e., first name, high school, college counselor signature, etc.
  • the initial phase of the program includes two one-day campus visits to discuss the design and the final product.

program delivery

predictive edge will deliver the e-communications program for your institution, handling both outgoing and incoming messages. this program will:

  • test all messages on a wide range of e-mail systems prior to sending them out. messages are sent only with your approval.
  • send e-mails on the agreed-upon schedule with addresses, headers, etc., indicating your institution as the originator of the message.
  • segregate lists, sending messages in appropriate formats.
  • upload your record file each week and initiate mailing sequence for all new inquiries.
  • handle all returned/bounced/undeliverable e-mails, making appropriate list corrections. we recommend sending a postcard periodically to all inquiries without valid e-mail addresses.
  • handle all opt-out requests and provide the information to you to permit regular and timely updating of all lists. this step alone can save thousands of dollars in printing and postage.
  • provide a monthly statistical report on the effectiveness of your campaign with suggestions for modifications.
  • collect the information from your inquiries' replies in a database to help you further refine future mailings and other recruiting efforts.
