predictive edge, inc. was established in 1999 to provide 'smart' or 'intelligent' software and state-of-the-art technological assistance to small and medium-sized colleges and not-for-profit associations in order to enhance the efficiency of attracting new students or members and to reduce the cost of recruiting and retaining students/members. a 'revolution' in computing power, accessible software, and individualized information has triggered the next stage of a marketing revolution, making enterprise resource planning software both intelligent and available at the desktop level. the most aggressive users of these marketing systems in the past have been national retail chains and catalog companies. but small and medium-sized institutions are finding ways to use this technology in the form of 'smart' software that guides the recruitment and retention processes. predictive edge uses state-of-the-art computer models with data mining to integrate institutional data and geodemographic data to support recruitment and retention efforts. the resulting software offers institutions the capacity to focus their efforts and hence to attract and retain students, while at the same time reducing the cost of recruitment and retention. these models also provide the framework for the design and enhancement of electronic communications and web strategies. we believe that this approach, combined with our experience in the business, enables us to develop high-quality products, substantially reduce product times to market, and achieve cost advantages over products offered by our competitors. about us
